Poster

Image
 - poster made using a palette of 5 colors (+b&w), incorporating a selfie, and a message in a 3-tier style Inspired by my love for the Joker, this project idea of having half of my face appear to be in clown makeup came to me randomly one night and I knew I had to make it awesome. This is without a doubt one of my favorite pieces I've ever created. The color palette was chosen to reflect bright, circus-like colors.

Calligram

Image
Calligram- self portrait made entirely out of words describing or relating to myself The calligram was inspired by the letter below. It was a long process, and while some of it is slightly creepy, I have to say I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Letter to myself 20 years in the future Hey Shannon from the future, I’m 20 years old sitting at my desk in Straz writing this to you. I’m curious about a lot, but let’s talk about the present for a minute first. I’m stressed, very stressed , but overall I’m doing pretty okay. This is the Covid semester of college, so things are definitely different than normal, but I really can’t complain. UT is still one of my favorite places in the world. I’m currently ...

Logo Design- Final Product: "Wise"

Image
logos in positive and negative, horizontal and vertical business cards, and application of the logo to 3D primitives- potential promotional products I decided to use "wise" for my final piece because I've always been told that I have a lot of wisdom for my age when it comes to weighing out situations. I loved the idea of using an owl when looking through inspiration. My name also means "small and wise" so I thought it was a perfect representation of myself.

Canvas- Final Project

Image
Final Canvas Project...based on the eyes of Doctor T.J. Eckleburg featured on the book cover of the Great Gatsby This project was NOT EASY!!! but, when all was done I honestly really enjoyed it and I feel like I learned so much. It was not perfect at all, but the creative process was really fun and there are some elements that I really liked in the end (the gradients of the sky and the city skyline in particular).
